Will Yesim work on your phone?

Check the exact variant

Yesim advises checking both eSIM compatibility and carrier-unlocked status before purchase. Its device list also warns that hardware variants within a model family may differ.

Use the current official list as a starting point. Match your precise model and country-of-sale variant, then confirm with your device manufacturer or carrier if the result is ambiguous. The ability to install the Yesim app does not prove that the phone can use its eSIM data service.

Make a pre-purchase record

Our practical checklist keeps three questions separate:

1. Hardware: Does this particular device support eSIM?
2. Carrier restrictions: Can it use another provider’s eSIM?
3. Trip fit: Does the selected plan cover the destination?

Record the answers before spending time comparing discounts. A successful promo-code application would not solve a hardware or carrier-lock problem.

Keep compatibility separate from performance

A supported device is only the first step. Coverage, local network conditions and the chosen plan still affect the trip. We have not tested network performance on your device or in your destination.

Once compatibility is established, use the plan-selection guide to compare what you need. Then review installation and activation: installing an eSIM and starting a plan’s validity are not necessarily the same event.

For current discount information, return to the Yesim merchant guide. Its eligibility notes relate to the promotion, not your hardware.
